A message to a friend
Hi [name]! We’re getting married and would love you to join us on [date]. Here’s our invitation with the time, location and RSVP: [link]. Please let us know by [deadline]. Looking forward to celebrating with you!
A gentle RSVP reminder
Hi [name], a quick reminder that our wedding RSVP closes on [deadline]. If you haven’t replied, you can do so here: [link]. Thank you for helping us plan the guest count. Ignore this reminder if you have already responded.
Make the invitation boundaries clear
Say whether the invitation is for one guest, a couple or a household. If you are inviting someone to the reception only, name that event and its time. Avoid placing different ceremony and reception instructions in a message that could be forwarded without context.
Check the message before sending
Open the published link, check the map and confirm the RSVP deadline. Send one test message to yourself to inspect its preview. Use the host’s preferred greeting and cultural or religious wording. Personalise messages where practical, avoid adding people to groups without permission and send reminders considerately.
